Do you Accept Yourself?

Many skinny persons struggle with self acceptance issues.  If you are a guy, you may wish that you were more muscular so you can stop being picked upon and being called weak.  For women, you might get a lot of comments about being anorexic and you may wish you had more curves to look better in those dresses.  Whatever the reason  you might want to gain weight, as long as it is coming from a place of a lack of self acceptance, you will never be happy and I will explain why.

The first thing that you have to remember as an Ectomorph is that nobody is perfect.  Everyone has flaws with which they struggle over and worry about, but you have control over how you make that affect you.

Some of the things that you should to do is:

1) Admit that you are not perfect

2) Acknowledge that no one is perfect.

3)  Accept your imperfections.

4)  Decide if it is something that is worth taking the time to improve upon.  It makes no sense to spend hours a day practicing to write with your left hand when your right hand is still functional, now is it?  Well, we never know what might happen in the future, and learning to write with your left hand might probably come in handy one day…

5) Is it really worth it?  Is this what you really want to do?   Is the desire internal or external?  Do YOU want to gain weight or are you being forced to by other people?  As in everything, there are no shortcuts to the process and it takes a lot of sacrifice.   So timing and patience are extremely important.

When it comes down to it all you are the master of your own destiny.  But before you can change anything about yourself, you need to accept yourself as who you are or else you will never be happy.  Many people may seem to have lots, but they are less happier than those who seem to have a little.  Life is all about figuring out what is most important to you.  I hope this helps you in your quest to bulk up.
